San Francisco seeing a Nordic tech invasion

‘The knowledge and ecosystem are here’

Northern European startups are steadily moving to San Francisco, drawn by its early technology adopters, crowd of crowd-sourcers, venture-capital coffers and tech expertise.

At least a half dozen startups have moved their headquarters to San Francisco from Sweden, Finland, Denmark and other Northern European countries this year. Founders of those companies say the move is imperative to their companies’ success.

“Companies used to come but there were less of them and they came at a later stage when it was about selling a product that’s already ready to go,” said Nicolai Wadstrom, CEO of Bootstrap Labs, an accelerator for Nordic …
