Kanata North Business Park, Kanata, Ontario, approved for new park-and-ride
[GBP Note: We applaud this use of land near the Kanata North Business Park as a great way to add value to tenants and employees of the park because the park and ride may bring additional bus routes to the area creating more transportation options for traditional commuters and possibly for those living downtown who do a reverse commute. Let us know who you are!]

OTTAWA — Kanata commuters are a step closer to having a new place to ditch their cars for buses, with approval from city council’s transportation committee to spend $5.7 million on a piece of land for a new park-and-ride lot.
The property, on Innovation Drive about 600 metres from March Road, is zoned for a tall commercial building but its owner preferred to sell it to the city for use as a transit parking lot.
Kanata’s Eagleson Road park-and-ride is famously bursting at the seams. If city council approves, the new lot would hold another 1,000 or so cars once it’s built.
