Syracuse, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Industrial Development Agency voted 6-0 today to hire a Rochester advertising agency to create marketing materials for the planned Clay Business Park.

Dixon Schwabl will create a logo, marketing materials, a Web page and a new sign for the park, a 339-acre chunk of vacant land at the northeast corner of Route 31 and Caughdenoy Road in Clay. It will be paid $63,125.

The development agency acquired the land with plans to turn it into a business park, but it has struggled to attract tenants.

Five ad agencies, including three local firms, responded to the development agency’s request for proposals. Mary Beth Primo, the county’s economic development director, said Dixon Schwabl was chosen because of its experience working with economic development organizations, including the state Economic Development Council.
