The fast pace of job growth in the Bay Area is expected to shift inland to the Stockton area in 2014, according to the University of the Pacific’s Business Forecasting Center. Local employment is projected to grow over 2.0% in 2014, driven largely by construction, an improving residential real estate market, and slow recoveries in state and local government. Meanwhile, as tenants lease the remaining large warehouse availabilities, developers will continue to promote more build-to-suit buildings, and we anticipate that we will see more new buildings breaking ground by the end of 2013.
